About the Role: Based at St Georges COE Primary School, DE11 9FJ, you will be working split shifts, 6:00am to 9:00am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in providing high quality caretaking services, including maintenance, site security and daily cleaning duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and locking the school site at the start and end of each day.
  • Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
  • Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
  • Undertaking approximately 2 hours of daily cleaning, including hallways, communal areas and small classrooms.
  • Monitoring site stocks and maintaining cleanliness standards across the site.
  • Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and willingness to attend training courses; all training will be provided.
