Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including access points, to identify potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as required.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken.
- Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries related to security matters.
Experience
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid is a plus, demonstrating readiness to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear reporting and interaction with others.
