Interim Operational Training & Compliance Officer (Fleet & Waste)
Rugby Borough Council is looking for an experienced Operational Training & Compliance Officer to develop and deliver training, competency assessments, and compliance programmes across Waste Services and the wider operational workforce.
This hands‑on role will focus on improving workforce capability, driver compliance, Health & Safety standards, and operational performance. You will deliver inductions, driver assessments, toolbox talks, and training for frontline staff, while maintaining robust competency and compliance records.
- Experience delivering driver and operational training within fleet, waste, highways, or local authority environments.
- Strong knowledge of DVSA, operator licence compliance, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience developing training programmes, competency frameworks, and compliance systems.
- Excellent coaching and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (LGV entitlement desirable).
