About the Role

Opus People Solutions are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council & Redditch Borough Council for a Parks & Greenspaces Administrative Support Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer‐focused individual to contribute to the effective delivery of vital community services. Supporting the Parks and Greenspaces team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day operation of services that directly impact local residents and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a first point of contact for residents, tenants, and stakeholders via email and telephone
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems
  • Supporting the coordination of meetings, including preparation of agendas and minute‐taking
  • Managing correspondence and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaising with internal colleagues, contractors, and site representatives
  • Assisting with allotment administration, including tenancy records and waiting lists
  • Providing general administrative and technical support to the wider team

About You

  • Proven experience within an administrative or office‐based role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • A professional, customer‐focused approach, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
