Location: Rugby Town Hall / Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
Pay rate: £14.82-£16.08 per hour
Working hours: 37 hours Monday-Friday
Assignment duration: 3 months temporary with review for extension
Job Purpose
Provide dedicated, confidential, and efficient secretarial support to the Council's Mayor and Leadership team ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through proactive diary management, meeting coordination, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diaries, appointments, and meeting preparation for Leadership Team members.
- Provide administrative support to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, including the co-ordination of their diaries and engagements, providing prompt responses to invitations for the Mayor/Deputy Mayor to attend functions.
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support, including minute-taking and agenda preparation.
- Liaise with charities and third parties as required.
- Receive and answer incoming communication including telephone calls and emails on behalf of Leadership Team.
- Support other PAs within the team and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, health and safety, and council policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant at senior management level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
