About the Role
Based at HARROLD ODELL COUNTRY PARK, Bedford, MK43 7DS you will be working 18 hours a week on average. You will be working 8.30am to 2.30pm Thursday and Friday one week, then 8.30am to 2.30pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the following week, continuing in this fortnightly working pattern to include bank holidays. you'll play a key role in preparing and serving high-quality food that meets our standards and delights our customers.
Responsibilities
- Food preparation: handling day-to-day duties and ensuring dishes meet site standards.
- Cooking and service: managing your station and delivering food on time.
- Safety and hygiene: following best practices with equipment, utensils, and food storage.
- Stock management: keeping ingredients fresh and reordering stock, when supplies run low.
- Teamwork: collaborating with the culinary team to maintain quality and service throughout the shift.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven chef experience, ideally in contract catering.
- Knowledge of cooking methods and processes, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Food hygiene certification at Level 2 (desirable).
