Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join the Family Support and Safeguarding Team, working with children and families to drive meaningful, lasting outcomes. This is a varied and rewarding role within Family Safeguarding, where you will manage a diverse caseload including:
- Child in Need
- Child Protection
- Public Law Outline Care proceedings
You will be working with children and young people up to the age of 18, building strong relationships with families and delivering interventions that promote safety, stability and positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead professional, ensuring safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and in line with procedures.
- Undertake high-quality assessments, producing robust analysis and clear, outcome-focused plans.
- Build effective relationships with children, young people and families to support sustainable change.
- Develop and deliver SMART plans that reflect individual needs and strengths.
- Produce high-quality reports for court and multi-agency forums that are child-focused and evidence-based.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to a culture of strong safeguarding practice.

Experience/Skills
- Hold a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Are registered with Social Work England.
- Bring experience in frontline social work (ideally within safeguarding).
- Have excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Are confident managing complex cases and court work.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
