Opus People Solutions are hiring for a Commissioning Officer within a Local Authority client based in Northamptonshire. The role is 37.5 hours per week, offering remote working (two days on-site, three remote), and £22.64 per day umbrella (£16.59 PAYE), with a contract length of 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Collection, monitoring and analysis of data related to performance
  • Production of reports interpreting data
  • Managing relationships with providers of adult social care
  • Supporting financial, legal and procurement tasks
  • Engagement activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Benchmarking and research
  • Written reports, business cases and proposals as per the specification of the commissioning manager

Qualifications

  • Ability to negotiate and influence, with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with partner organisations, councillors and people that use services
  • Good level of knowledge of key legislation, national policy and developments in relation to adult social care and health
  • Experience of project management including coordination, planning, information collation, analysing data to produce reports, strategies and business cases
  • Previous experience within Local Government
