Vertas is a leading facilities management company providing catering, cleaning, and support services across Great Britain. We are committed to delivering high quality services while supporting our colleagues' wellbeing and development.
About the Role
This is a mobile role covering school sites across Nottinghamshire, with travel required between locations. You will be working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 14:00, term time only, 39.2 weeks per year, earning £14.27 per hour. Mileage is paid for travel between sites. This role offers a great work life balance with daytime hours, Monday to Friday. You will support multiple kitchens, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and service standards across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day to day running of school kitchens across multiple locations
- Preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals to pupils and staff
- Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met
- Supporting stock control and ordering
- Leading and supporting kitchen teams across different sites
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment, ideally in a supervisory role
- Confident working across multiple locations and supporting different teams
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- A reliable and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently
