Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council for a Laundry Driver to join their Adult Social Care team. This is a rewarding, community-focused role supporting vulnerable residents who require assistance with their laundry due to mobility issues, illness, or other care needs. You'll play a vital part in ensuring service users receive a reliable, friendly and high-quality service.
The Role
- Collecting and delivering laundry to and from service users' homes across Milton Keynes
- Providing a courteous and professional service, building positive relationships with residents
- Maintaining accurate records relating to collections, deliveries and vehicle use
- Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, safe and well-maintained, reporting any issues as required
- Liaising with contractors regarding vehicle maintenance where necessary
- Adhering to all health & safety, safeguarding and council procedures
- Acting as a positive representative of Milton Keynes City Council at all times
What We're Looking For
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
