About the Role

Based at Rainworth Distribution Unit, Southwell Road West, Rainworth, NG21 0HJ, you will be working approximately 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, around 4 hours per day. You will also work one weekend in every four, for 4 hours per day. You'll play a key role in delivering hot meals to vulnerable customers and carrying out essential "Safe and Well" checks to support their wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack and deliver meals on time and at safe temperatures
  • Carry out "Safe & Well" checks and report any changes in customer wellbeing
  • Ensure meals are accessible and suitable for consumption
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any defects
  • Lock and unlock the distribution facility as part of the weekend rota
  • Follow all vehicle operation and safety procedures
  • Record and return any waste meals
  • Distribute leaflets and assist with customer surveys when required

Qualifications

  • Strong customer care skills with the ability to observe and report wellbeing concerns
  • Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health and safety
  • Confidence driving in all weather conditions
  • Friendly, flexible and adaptable approach
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle (where applicable)
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
