Are you passionate about food, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering team.

About the Role

Based at Station View, Barrow-in-Furness, Dalton-in-Furness, LA145SF you will be working 18 hours a week with the potential for overtime. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving meals to a high standard while ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals
  • Serve food and maintain portion control
  • Front of house service with residents
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment are kept clean and hygienic
  • Follow health and safety and food hygiene procedures
  • Travel between sites as required

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment preferred
  • Good communication skills needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude
