We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Pensions Specialist to join our friendly and professional Payroll and Pensions team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll and pension services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of end-to-end monthly payrolls
- Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Administer pension processing including Auto Enrolment, AVCs, Local Government and Teacher Pension Schemes
- Process pension joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and in-service changes
- Reconcile payroll and pension data and produce accurate reports
- Liaise with HMRC, pension providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve complex payroll and pension queries
- Support audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Proven experience in payroll processing and pension administration
- Strong knowledge of LGPS and Teachers' Pension Scheme (highly desirable)
- Experience using payroll systems (iTrent knowledge highly desirable)
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong Excel skills
- CIPP qualification (desirable)
