Are you passionate about food service, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team.

About the Role

Based at Abbey Gates Primary School, NG15 9BN, you will be working Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 1:30pm, covering 10 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high quality school meal service, ensuring pupils receive nutritious meals in a welcoming environment.

Pay

£12.71 per hour

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
  • Setting up and clearing dining areas.
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with day to day catering duties.
  • Providing excellent customer service to pupils and staff.
  • Following all food safety and health and safety procedures.
