We are thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading business with multiple awards to their name, to recruit a Compliance and Safeguarding Manager within the Fleet division.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Fleet & Passenger Transport, the successful candidate will ensure the compliant and legal operation of the Fleet and Operator\'s Licences. They will develop staff understanding of Safeguarding and vehicle compliance, conduct investigations and audits when required, and be the Named Transport Manager on the company\'s Operator\'s Licence.
Duties:
- Proactively manage daily EU and domestic hours legislation, infringements, and driver training/retraining as needed.
- Oversee all compliance areas, including drug and alcohol testing, vehicle checks, eyesight testing, and adherence to company policies and standards such as Earned Recognition and Coach Operator\'s Guild standards.
- Prepare and present information for third-party audits.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and the Operators Licence.
- Maintain vehicle presentation standards and driver performance, ensuring high service quality and staff motivation.
- Oversee the company\'s operation of the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme and report to the Head of Fleet & Passenger Transport.
- Assist with daily operations as required by the business.
- Be named on the PSV Operators Licence.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained within required guidelines.
- Assist with audits for the group fleet where necessary.
- Lead the Safeguarding department.
- Train staff in Safeguarding practices and conduct investigations when needed.
- Collaborate with external organizations to maintain safeguarding standards.
- Assist in implementing the vehicle replacement programme.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.
- Transport Manager Qualification (International or National).
- Full UK Driving Licence with D1 category and valid D-CPC qualification.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Experience working in a professional environment.
