Interim Strategic Lead - Adult Social Care CommissioningLocation: Cambridgeshire Rate: £450 per day (Umbrella) Contract: 6 Months IR35: Inside IR35We are seeking an experienced Interim Strategic Lead to provide strategic leadership across a major Adult Social Care commissioning portfolio within Cambridgeshire.
You will lead the delivery of several high-profile commissioning programmes, including:
- New Zoned Homecare Framework (£750m)
- Recommissioning of Supported Living and Residential Frameworks (£771m+)
- Day Opportunities Framework for Adults with Learning Disabilities (£60m)
- Integrated Community Equipment Service
You will also provide strategic oversight across care homes, self-directed support, market sustainability and service improvement initiatives. Leading the largest commissioning team within the service, you will manage 7 Commissioning Managers and provide oversight to 4 Commissioners, ensuring the successful delivery of a complex programme of work within a dynamic environment.
As a member of the Adult Social Care Commissioning Management Team, you will support the Head of Service, contribute to strategic planning and service transformation, and deputise where required.

- Significant Adult Social Care commissioning experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex commissioning and procurement programmes
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience operating within a local authority or public sector setting
- Ability to lead teams through change and drive service improvement
