We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Social Workers to join a well-established Family Support & Safeguarding service across Cambridgeshire. You will play a key role in supporting vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while enabling positive, long-term change.

Working Arrangements
This role offers a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based work, home working, and visits within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of children and families, ensuring timely, effective interventions that promote stability and positive outcomes.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and other statutory duties in line with legislation and local safeguarding procedures.
- Develop clear, outcome-focused care and support plans, regularly reviewing progress and adapting interventions to meet changing needs.
- Build strong, professional relationships and carry out meaningful direct work with children, young people, and families to achieve sustainable change.
- Identify and assess risks, taking proactive steps to safeguard children, including initiating and managing child protection plans where necessary.
- Work closely with key partners including schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to deliver coordinated support.
- Prepare high-quality reports and care plans for court proceedings and represent the local authority where required.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core group meetings, strategy discussions, and reviews.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
- Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and training to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within children's services, ideally in Family Support or Safeguarding
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive, resilient, and child-focused approach
