Contract: 3 months with review for extension

Role Overview: Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council for a Customer Service Admin Officer to join the Adult Care & Support department and be designated lead officer for the receipt of service referrals, repair requests, ordering of stock and general enquiries for the Community Equipment and Wheelchair Services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To be designated lead point of contact and liaison for all enquiries, providing appropriate advice and information on all aspects of service provision.
  • To screen and process referrals and enquiries ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • To plan, arrange and adjust the daily delivery, collection, planned maintenance and clinical assessments.
  • To manage the clinic schedules for colleagues and contractors ensuring that they are reasonable and efficient.
  • To manage the assessment schedule and monitor waiting lists ensuring delays are kept to a minimum.

If successful, candidates will be required to provide information to support the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council's commitment to the prevention and detection of fraud. This information will be processed by the Council's Internal Audit Services and may be shared with the National Fraud Initiative (NFI) for data matching.
