About the school

King Edward's Witley is a flourishing school set across an attractive 100-acre campus in a beautiful part of rural Surrey.

The role

We seek to appoint a full-time Teacher of Art, with part-time considered, to cover a short period of colleague absence from September 2026 until October half-term.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach the agreed timetable allocation of groups across the age and ability range to GCSE and A-level.
  • Ensure that pupils are taught according to their individual needs and abilities, following the syllabus and schemes of work set by the Head of Department.
  • Teach GCSE and A-level Textiles where possible.

Requirements

  • Experienced and outstanding teacher with the skills and aptitudes to motivate and inspire diverse pupils.
  • Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure through the DBS.
  • Willingness to undergo online and social media checks as part of due diligence for shortlisted candidates.
