The role St Albans High School for Girls seeks a Teacher of Drama for a fixed-term contract to support the Drama department’s co-curricular provision. The post holder will promote student uptake of opportunities, support wellbeing and personal development, and contribute to the school’s outstanding academic provision.
This is a fixed-term position for one academic term, running from 1 September 2026 to 11 December 2026. Full-time applications are preferred; however, part-time working (Monday to Thursday) will also be considered.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver teaching within a reduced contact timetable to accommodate extensive co-curricular commitments.
- Support the co-curricular programme, including after-school sessions until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday.
- Assist with rehearsals and productions, including four to five weekend days during the Michaelmas Term.
- Provide backstage support during production weeks, including evening duties.
- Promote student engagement, wellbeing and personal development through drama activities.
