Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
- Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience in Secondary year groups
- Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.
- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning.
- Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
