Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: up to ÂŁ65,000 per year plus ÂŁ10,000 annual quality and commercial bonus.

About the Role

You will manage a 3‑bed home catering for children aged 12‑18 years who require additional support due to mental illness or self‑injurious behaviours. You will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team—including on‑site clinical staff and teachers—to support the children’s transitions off the site, following the successful achievement of the goals set out in their care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the 3‑bed children’s home.
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical staff and teachers, to deliver care plans.
  • Support children’s transition from the site, ensuring that care goals are met.
  • Maintain compliance with the Statement of Purpose, the Quality Standards, SCCIF, and relevant child‑care legislation.
  • Plan, organise, control budgets, allocate resources, and supervise staff.
  • Apply knowledge of the Mental Health Act and related regulations when caring for children with mental health needs.

Qualifications (if not obtained, must enrol within 6 months)

  • At least 2 years of experience in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed care and experience with children presenting behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
  • Full UK driving licence.
