School Staffing Solutions are seeking a Nurture Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Bromsgrove, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school offers a nurturing, inclusive environment where students access the national curriculum in ways tailored to their individual needs, developing academic and vocational skills for life beyond school. KS3 students are based at a site in South Birmingham (B38), while KS4 and KS5 students attend a college site in North Worcestershire (B60).

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
  • Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.
  • QTS/QTLS qualification.
  • Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning.
