North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a competent and professional Clerk Typist (Band 2) to join the Women’s & Children’s Collaborative team at Whitehaven Hospital. This full-time permanent role is crucial to the efficient day-to-day delivery of the Gynaecology service, providing high-quality administrative support to consultants and nurse practitioners.

Role Overview
The Clerk Typist will provide administrative support to the Gynaecology service, typing professional letters and documents, liaising with patients, departments, NHS Trusts, and external agencies. As the first point of contact for many patients, the role requires professionalism, accuracy, and a patient-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Type professional letters and documents at 50–60 words per minute

Required Skills and Experience

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a busy workload
- Previous experience in NHS administration
