Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join their team in Kidwelly. This role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities, helping them with daily activities, emotional wellbeing, and community engagement. Flexible contract options are available, with rotas prepared in advance to support work‑life balance.
Support Workers provide practical and emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives. The role requires flexibility, empathy, and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to drive.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist individuals with daily living activities
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice
- Build meaningful relationships with service users
- Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Genuine passion for supporting others
