Social Worker – Mental Health | Sponsorship Available
Bramley Health is currently recruiting a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our team at the Langford Centre—a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility providing specialist care for individuals with complex mental health needs, including dementia and neurodegenerative disorders. This is a full-time, permanent position offering visa sponsorship for candidates based both inside and outside of the UK.

About the Langford Centre
The Langford Centre operates across six wards and delivers low secure, high dependency inpatient rehabilitation and acute services. Our goal is to support patients from admission through their recovery pathway, promoting successful reintegration into the community. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in this journey, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs for social work interventions throughout admission
- Deliver one-on-one and group work sessions with patients
- Ensure patients’ rights are protected under relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act 1983, Human Rights Act, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA)
- Advocate for patients or coordinate with appropriate advocacy services
- Prepare and present Mental Health Tribunal and social history reports
- Liaise with carers, family members, and external agencies including health and social care services
- Plan for discharge and record Section 117 Aftercare arrangements
- Attend Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings and present evidence of social work interventions
- Conduct clinical audits and prepare reports for governance meetings
- Carry out capacity assessments and maintain accurate clinical records
- Serve as the main point of contact for safeguarding advice and referrals
- Undertake home visits and complete risk assessments for patients with forensic history
- Identify and assess community resources and residential settings for discharged patients
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all patient interactions
Candidate Requirements
- Verifiable experience working as a Social Worker in a mental health setting
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health issues and/or forensic history in hospital or community environments
- Familiarity with managing challenging behaviours
- Willingness to pursue further education and training relevant to social work and secure care
- Commitment to developing expertise in managing patients with forensic backgrounds
