Ridgegate Home is seeking a Twilight Care Assistant to join its warm, charitably-run residential care home for older people in Reigate, Surrey. This full-time role offers competitive pay, strong benefits, and the opportunity to provide compassionate, person-centred care in a supportive environment.
Location: Reigate RH2 0NR (in-person role)
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday, 5pm–11pm (30 hours per week)
Shift Pattern: Twilight shifts (12-hour shifts may apply for some staff with meals provided)
Ridgegate Home provides a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for elderly residents who are no longer able, or no longer wish, to live independently. In addition to long-term residential care, the home offers short-term respite stays to support families and caregivers when needed.
Job Summary
The Twilight Care Assistant will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents and their families. Duties include personal care, emotional support, and completion of documentation. Compassion, teamwork, and proficiency with digital technology are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and support to residents
- Assist with daily routines and emotional wellbeing
- Complete care documentation accurately and promptly
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure high standards of care
- Uphold residents’ dignity, independence, and choice
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of care home experience (preferred)
- Experience with care plans (required)
- Supervising experience beneficial
- Proficiency with relevant digital technology
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team
- Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship/visa switch not available)
