12 King’s Bench Walk (12KBW) is hiring a full-time Front of House Receptionist to join its prestigious civil law chambers inLondon. This role requires full-time presence in Chambers, located in central London.

Role Overview

As Front of House Receptionist, you’ll work alongside the current receptionist to deliver outstanding service to clients, barristers, and staff. You’ll manage communications, coordinate meetings and events, and ensure the smooth running of reception and common areas.

This is a client-facing role that demands attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a warm, professional presence.

Key Responsibilities

Reception Duties

  • Manage telephone and email communications, including redirection and out-of-hours services
  • Book and allocate conference/seminar rooms
  • Organize internal events and prepare rooms for meetings
  • Coordinate IT support for hosted events
  • Maintain LEX diary entries for all scheduled activities
  • Greet and attend to clients at Front of House
  • Build positive relationships with clients and visitors
  • Ensure cleanliness and readiness of public and conference rooms
  • Provide beverages and arrange lunch setups
  • Handle general inquiries and incoming post/deliveries

Administrative Support

  • Assist the Business Operations Manager with room maintenance and renovations
  • Oversee health and safety checks and equipment updates
  • Liaise with facilities team to manage stock levels
  • Organize meetings and events for members and staff
  • Arrange parking permits and travel bookings
  • Provide cover during staff absences due to holiday or illness

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in reception or administrative roles (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
