Role Overview
Senior Care Assistants provide personal care, social support, and supervision to ensure residents’ needs are met. The role involves guiding care assistants, planning and monitoring care, and supporting induction and training programs. Compassion, professionalism, and leadership are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and social support to residents
- Use the electronic care platform “Nourish” to record and monitor care
- Supervise, guide, and support care assistants
- Assist with planning and monitoring resident care
- Support induction and training programs for care assistants
- Demonstrate positive caring values in all aspects of practice
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and experiences
- Perform ad hoc duties to meet service delivery needs
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous senior care experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Enthusiasm for providing care and supporting people
- Compassionate values and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and responsibilities effectively
