Sense is offering an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and driven Registered Care Manager (RCM) to lead a vibrant supported living service in Exeter. This full‑time, permanent role involves managing a dedicated team and supporting eight adults with learning disabilities and sensory impairments. The Exeter service, Andlaw House, is home to eight adults who enjoy active lifestyles and community engagement.
Role Overview
The Registered Care Manager will oversee two supported living flats, each housing four residents. You’ll lead a team including a Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, and Support Workers, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care. The role involves coaching staff, maintaining strong relationships with families and professionals, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across two supported living flats
- Lead and develop a large staff team
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and health and social care legislation
- Promote independence and community participation for residents
- Maintain positive relationships with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and aspirations
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management

Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (minimum)
- Willingness to undertake Level 5 qualification
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and person‑centred support
- Experience in residential or supported living services
- Understanding of REACH standards (or willingness to learn)
- Right to work in the UK
