Caley Home Care Ltd is recruiting a Female Care Supervisor to lead and support care teams in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent role offering competitive pay, mileage allowance, and UK visa sponsorship (for eligible candidates on Student, Graduate, or Dependent visas).
Location: Edinburgh, UK
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: 2-week rota (W1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun; W2: Wed, Thu, Fri)
Shifts: 07:00–14:00 and 16:00–22:30
Mileage Allowance: £0.35 per mile
Pay Schedule: Biweekly (Fridays)
Visa Sponsorship: Available (for Student, Graduate, Dependent visas only – not Skilled Worker visas)
Role Overview: You will lead a team of care staff, oversee care plans, manage medication, and ensure safe, high-quality support for clients. This role requires strong leadership, compassion, and prior care team lead experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support care staff to deliver high-quality care
- Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to client needs
- Conduct observations on health, wellbeing, and behaviour; report changes
- Ensure staff follow care plans and risk assessments
- Administer and oversee medication management
- Provide hands-on support with daily living activities
- Conduct team meetings, training, and staff development sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and shift handovers
- Act as first point of contact for concerns, incidents, or emergencies
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous care team lead experience (non-negotiable)
- Own car and valid UK driving licence
- Currently residing in the UK on a Student, Graduate, or Dependent visa (with at least 3 months left)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must pass a background check
Preferred:
- Prior experience in care roles
- Ability to commute reliably within Edinburgh
Competitive hourly rate: £14.50/hour
Mileage allowance: £0.35 per mile
UK visa sponsorship: Available (after probation, for eligible visa categories)
