Role Summary:
This is a hands-on opportunity to join a leading research centre within Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care. As a Data Collection and Processing Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting medical research studies that directly influence NHS treatment decisions. You’ll be part of a collaborative administrative team that values training, development, and precision in data handling.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking entry into clinical research administration, with a focus on data integrity, patient follow-up, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry for clinical research projects
  • Conduct follow-up data collection via telephone with study participants
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post related to research documentation
  • Assist with missing data checks and quality assurance tasks
  • Review study documents and liaise with hospital staff to resolve data queries
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security in line with the Data Protection Act
  • Keep detailed records and manage filing systems to support audit readiness

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and English
  • Demonstrated experience using IT systems, including databases, Microsoft Office, email, and internet tools
  • Proven data entry experience with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Confidence handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Previous experience working in a call centre or similar environment
