Care4us Health Care Limited is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Senior Home Carer to join its domiciliary care team in Manchester. As a Senior Home Carer, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring that service users receive safe, dignified, and effective care in their own homes. You will work closely with care staff, service users, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care services, supervise team members, and maintain the highest standards of care delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate care staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support service users with personal care, daily living activities, and emotional wellbeing.
- Monitor and maintain accurate care documentation and records.
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
- Promote safeguarding practices while maintaining dignity, respect, and equality for all service users.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and management teams.
- Assist with care coordination activities and scheduling requirements.
- Support rota planning and workforce allocation to ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide on-call support when required.
- Assist with office administration and operational tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, care regulations, and best practice standards.
Candidate Requirements
Required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a care environment.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Care Certificate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and support care teams effectively.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work according to service requirements.
Preferred
- Previous experience in domiciliary or home care settings.
- Experience supervising or mentoring care staff.
- Knowledge of care planning, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessments.
- Experience with care coordination and rota management.
- Understanding of CQC standards and care compliance requirements.
