Role Overview
The Care Assistant will support residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily activities. The role also includes light domestic duties and contributing to a positive and respectful care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care (washing, dressing, bathing)
- Assist with domestic tasks (laundry, drink preparation, washing up)
- Support residents with dementia, learning disabilities, and frailty
- Work collaboratively as part of the care team
- Uphold dignity and independence of residents
- Participate in training and development programs
Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience in home care or care home settings
- Understanding of care plans and person-centred care
- Care Certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Compassionate and reliable nature
- Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
