Glenbervie Care Home is currently hiring a Staff Nurse for a full-time, permanent position in Larbert, Falkirk. Located in Glenbervie Business Park, Glenbervie Care Home is a purpose-built facility opened in 2016. It accommodates 33 elderly residents (65+) and 26 adults (18–65), offering spacious ensuite rooms, electric profiling beds, and pressure-relieving mattresses. The home is decorated with local artwork and includes unique amenities such as a Bistro, pub, and training room. Glenbervie is just one mile from Forth Valley Royal Hospital, with excellent road and rail links.
As a Staff Nurse, you’ll lead a care team and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. You’ll oversee medication management, support care planning, and mentor junior staff. This role is ideal for nurses with leadership potential, a passion for elderly care, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise high standards of nursing care
- Assess residents’ needs and develop individualized care plans
- Promote independence, dignity, and personal choice
- Manage medication safely and in compliance with legislation
- Liaise professionally with families, visitors, and external stakeholders
- Ensure readiness for inspection visits and maintain compliance
- Monitor and document resident care thoroughly
- Foster a cohesive team environment and support staff development
- Mentor junior staff in line with the NMC Code of Conduct
- Participate in internal meetings and professional development activities
- Support the Home Manager in achieving operational targets
Required Qualifications
- Valid NMC registration
