Role Overview
As Onboarding Coordinator, you’ll manage the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and welcoming experience. You’ll handle pre-employment checks, contracts, documentation, and queries, working closely with HR colleagues to maintain high standards and support new starters from offer to induction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding tasks including DBS checks, reference requests, and compliance documentation
- Issue offer letters and employment contracts
- Ensure all admin processes meet company policy and CQC standards
- Provide payroll with accurate new starter documentation
- Handle onboarding calls and queries with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain confidential personnel files and data records
- Support candidates throughout the onboarding journey
- Collaborate with HR and resourcing teams on wider projects and ad hoc tasks
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to workload
- Confident multitasker who thrives under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- GCSE Grade B/6 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential data
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in onboarding, HR administration, or supported living
- Familiarity with CQC compliance and Right to Work requirements
