About the Role
Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced and confident Social Worker Level 4 to join the Family & Children’s Support and Safeguarding Service. This permanent, full‑time role offers a salary between £49,264 and £51,854 per year, inclusive of a 15% market supplement. This is an opportunity to work at senior practice level, providing leadership through high‑quality, relationship‑based practice. You will play a key role in safeguarding children, supporting families, and achieving lasting outcomes. On a day‑to‑day basis, you will hold complex case responsibility for children in need, those subject to child protection plans, and children in care. You will undertake statutory enquiries, assessments, and care planning, lead multi‑agency meetings, prepare detailed reports for conferences and court, and mentor less experienced colleagues. This role offers strong management support, reflective supervision, and access to ongoing training, ensuring your continued professional development.
