Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will support clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and assist with health and wellbeing needs. You’ll play a vital role in helping individuals maintain independence while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support care plans tailored to individual health and wellbeing needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with medication management under healthcare guidance
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Support with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in domiciliary or healthcare work
- Caring, reliable, and professional attitude
- Right to work in the UK
- Local to Derby and surrounding areas
- Strong communication skills in English
- Full UK Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with care plans and individualised support requirements
- Basic IT skills for record keeping
