Role Overview
As a Care Specialist, you’ll provide high-quality, reliable care to adults in their own homes. You’ll support clients with daily routines, companionship, personal care, and social activities. Every visit is unhurried, lasting at least one hour, and tailored to the individual’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer friendly companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light meals, medication reminders, and daily routines
- Provide dignified personal care when needed
- Support clients with errands, appointments, and social outings
- Maintain a respectful and safe environment in clients’ homes
- Build lasting relationships based on trust and empathy
- Cover clients across East Bristol, with travel between local areas
Required Skills and Experience
- Kind, reliable, and compassionate nature
- Confidence working independently
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Car driver with access to a vehicle
- Availability for flexible hours, including school-time shifts
- Willingness to occasionally cover evenings or weekends (enhanced pay applies)
- Previous experience in care or support roles
- Familiarity with East Bristol communities
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality principles
