School of Coding & AI is an established training provider, delivering GCSE’s and Functional Skills learning support to children, young people and adults.
Within our school provision, we work with learners under the age of 16 who may not have thrived in a mainstream school environment.
Our focus is to provide a supportive, structured and nurturing setting where students can rebuild confidence, develop key skills and re-engage positively with education.

About the Role
This is an opportunity to teach young people who may have not thrived in mainstream education.
You’ll work with learners who may have experienced disrupted education, additional needs or barriers to learning, helping them rebuild confidence and develop the skills they need to move forward.
We are looking for two teachers with the ability to teach across English, Mathematics and Science, delivering GCSE and Functional Skills content.
You’ll adapt your approach to meet individual needs and make learning engaging, accessible and purposeful.
Most importantly, you’ll help students recognise their potential and believe that education can lead to something positive.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across English, Mathematics and/or science.
- Teach GCSE and Functional Skills, helping learners work towards meaningful qualifications.
- Create personalised learning plans based on individual strengths, needs and goals.
- Track progress, identify gaps and adapt teaching to improve outcomes.
- Prepare learners for examinations through targeted intervention and revision.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, motivation and independence.
- Create a calm, safe and structured environment where learners can succeed.
- Work closely with support staff, parents/careers and external professionals.
- Support learners with their next steps into further education, apprenticeships, employment or training.
- Use digital tools and educational technology to enhance learning and monitor progress.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Mathematics and/or Science.
- Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH or additional needs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to differentiate learning and adapt your approach to individual students.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to achieve their potential.
Desirable
- Experience in Alternative Provision, PRU’s or specialist education settings.
- Knowledge of trauma informed and restorative approaches.
- Experience with Functional Skills or vocational qualifications.
- Knowledge of exam access arrangements.
- Additional SEND, SEMH, behavior management or safeguarding training.
- Confidence using digital learning platforms and educational technology.
