Overview
As a Digital Business Management Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding learning experience for our students. You will teach across a range of business and digital subjects, bringing academic knowledge and industry insight into the classroom to help students develop the skills needed for successful careers in the modern business landscape. You will be responsible for delivering engaging teaching, supporting student achievement, assessing academic performance, and contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum. Working as part of a collaborative academic team, you will help create an inclusive and supportive environment that enables students from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and foundation year Digital Business Management modules, ensuring an engaging and inclusive learning experience for students.
- Design, develop, and update learning materials, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources that align with programme objectives and university standards.
- Facilitate engaging lectures, tutorials, and blended learning activities that encourage participation, critical thinking, and practical application of knowledge.
- Integrate current industry trends, emerging technologies, AI applications, and real‑world business case studies into teaching to enhance student engagement and employability.
- Support students in developing academic, professional, analytical, research, and digital skills required for success in higher education and future careers.
- Provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback to support student progression, achievement, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor student attendance, engagement, progression, and achievement, implementing appropriate interventions to support student retention and success.
- Design, administer, mark, and moderate assessments in accordance with university regulations, quality standards, and assessment policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, assessment outcomes, academic progress, and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and programme enhancement activities, ensuring content remains current, relevant, and aligned with employer and industry needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Digital Business, Business Management, Digital Transformation, Innovation Management or a related discipline.
- Industry experience in digital business, business management, consulting, entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Experience teaching, training, coaching or supporting learners in an academic or professional setting.
- Strong understanding of current digital marketing tools, platforms and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and support students from a range of backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage teaching, assessment and student support responsibilities effectively.
- Commitment to delivering an excellent student experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master's degree in Digital Business, Business Management, Innovation, Technology Management or a related discipline.
- Understanding of AI applications within business and emerging digital technologies.
- Experience supervising student projects, dissertations or work‑based learning activities.
- Experience working with diverse student cohorts and supporting widening participation initiatives.

Salary and Benefits
Salary from £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
