About The Role
The Course Coordinator will provide high level administrative and organisational support to the Academic programme Course Leads, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities.
The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Acting as a trusted point of contact for both students and staff.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Course Administration (30-35%)
- Maintain accurate student, course, module and assessment records.
- Prepare assessment board documentation and coordinate academic meetings, including minute taking.
- Manage course inboxes, responding to enquiries and escalating where appropriate.
- Monitor key deadlines and support Course Leads with administrative tasks.
- Update student records and ensure information is accurate and compliant.
- Student Support (30-35%)
- Act as a key point of contact for student enquiries, providing professional and timely support
- Assist students with changes to their studies, including withdrawals, transfers and other requests.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare documentation and follow up on agreed actions.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure students receive the support and information they need
- Staff Support (10-15%)
- Build effective working relationships with Course Leads and academic staff.
- Maintain organised filing systems and departmental records.
- Support compliance with partner regulations, policies and academic procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiency.
- Department Support (5-10%)
- Support Registry, Admissions and Finance with student records and documentation.
- Prepare files for enrolment, re-enrolment and partner institutions.
- Welcome and support partner visitors and provide general administrative assistance across the Registry team.
Requirements
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Previous experience in an administration, coordination or student support role.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate professionally with students, staff and external stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing records and documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive, solutions focused approach.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Desirable
- Experience working within Higher Education, Further Education or university partnership environments.
- Knowledge of student records or management systems.
- Experience supporting academic administration, assessment boards or Registry processes
- Understanding of university regulations, academic quality processes or the student lifecycle
- Experience producing reports, analysing data or maintaining management information.
- Knowledge of GDPR, data protection and information governance principles.
