The Part-Time Librarian and ELSA leads the day-to-day management of the school library while providing targeted pastoral and emotional literacy support to pupils with identified social, emotional, or wellbeing needs. The role supports the school’s academic culture by promoting reading for pleasure, information literacy, and effective research skills, while also contributing directly to pupil wellbeing, resilience, and engagement with learning.
Reports to: Deputy Head (Pupil Development)
Works closely with: Director of Wellbeing and DSL, Director of Studies, Head of Learning Support, Heads of Section, tutors, and teaching staff
Term‑time only plus INSET days (34 weeks a year)
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 08:00–16:30; Weds: 08:00-14:00 (including 30 minutes unpaid lunch)
Weekly paid hours: 37.5 hours - £19,600 (£30,000 FTE)
