Do you have a background in school libraries and a strong understanding of how library software supports teaching and learning? Are you confident in delivering training that empowers library staff to make the most of their systems?
We’re looking for someone with experience of the Oliver library software, and a passion for supporting school libraries, to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the unique needs of school librarians and wants to help others support students, staff, and reading programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver accurate, insightful training that engages and enthuses users with their Softlink products
  • Support the onboarding of new school clients, including initial training and post-training follow-up
  • Work closely with our implementation and support teams to ensure schools have a smooth and successful experience
  • Stay up to date with changes in Oliver and adapt training content accordingly and inform the rest of the team how these updates benefit our customers.
  • Instigate new approaches to engage users with further training
  • Utilise customer feedback to optimise the training programme
  • The Trainer\’s audience may include a wide range of technical skills and educational levels, and vary in size from just a few people in a private setting to an entire real/online roomful of people in a professional seminar.

About You:

  • Proven experience with Oliver library software (essential or highly desirable)
  • Background working in a library environment (school, public, or academic preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Patient, organised, and able to tailor training to different learning styles
  • A friendly, upbeat, supportive approach to training, with the ability to build confidence in users at all levels and inject some fun into the process.
  • Organised, reliable, and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience developing digital training resources or guides
  • Knowledge of library workflows in primary and secondary school settings
  • Ability to travel occasionally for onsite training (if applicable)
