Let's be honest, most GP partner adverts start the same way. They tell you how busy the practice is, how successful they are, and that an exciting opportunity has arisen. However, we want to ask a different question: Do you want a real say in how a practice runs, grows, and looks after its patients and staff?
We are not advertising because someone has left or because we need to plug a gap. We are advertising because we want the right person. Someone who wants to be involved, who values teamwork, shared responsibility, and a long-term vision. This is about finding someone who is the right fit for the surgery. We are less interested in how long you have been qualified and more interested in how you work with others. You do not need all the answers on day one; after all, who has? You do need to want to be part of the future and to see partnership as collaboration, not hierarchy.
