Role Description
The Automotive and MOT role at School Lane Service Station is a full-time, on-site position based in Preston. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine vehicle servicing, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer and safety standards. Qualifications

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including use of modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety standards, MOT regulations, and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Ability to work safely in a workshop environment and follow health and safety procedures.
- Clear, professional communication skills for explaining technical issues and options to customers.
- Good time management and organizational skills to handle multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
- Reliable, cooperative attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Full, valid driving license; prior experience in a garage, service station, or MOT center is highly beneficial.
