ChristchurchGirls’ High School Te Kura 0 Hine Waiora was founded in 1877 and was the second stategirls’ secondary school in Aotearoa New Zealand, with a proud and long history ofeducating young women to take their place in the world.
Our boardinghostel, Acland House, provides accommodation for up to 130 boarders, between Years9-13, from outside Christchurch. It is situated on Papanui Road, a five-minute drivefrom the school campus and ākonga have the opportunity for educational, cultural,sporting and social development at the school and the hostel.
We are lookingfor a positive, committed Pastoral Night Supervisor to support ākonga overnightat Acland House. Working with the Director of Boarding, you will be part of adynamic team that maintains this ‘home away from home’.
You willprovide exceptional pastoral care to the girls, ensuring a well-organised and safeenvironment at all times. The role also includes administration support, housekeepingand domestic services associated with the running of the Boarding House.
This is anovernight awake position (Rostered Overnight Awake Shifts), and typically10.00pm to 7:00am. This position is term time only and excluding Set Leaveweekends.
Qualifications andExperience Preferred
- Previousexperience working with young people in an educational, residential or care settingis preferred
- CurrentFirst Aid Certificate
