Job Summary:
Hockey Academy in Maple Ridge needs a teacher for the following schedule:
- Tues: 1 hour between 9-11 a.m.
- Wed: 2 hours 9-11 a.m.
- Thurs: 1 hour between 9 - 11 a.m.
Gr 3-7 students will be working online in a classroom, and the teacher/tutor will be nearby if they have questions. The role is from September to June and will follow the school district calendar and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing student’s needs and developing a plan to help them succeed
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, and assignments.
- Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
- Providing students with positive and constructive feedback
- Offering feedback on progress to students’ parents
