Job Summary:
We are looking for ESL tutors who can go to student\’s homes.
We match our tutors and students together carefully. This is a \’feel good\’ job. Students gain confidence and get closer to achieving their academic goals and future careers.
Locations:
We need people willing to tutor in these locations:
Surrey, Delta, White Rock, Tsawwassen, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge
NOTE: We need tutors in place for summer and all school year round. We do not promise tutoring assignments because it depends on the students\’ needs at that time.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing student\’s needs and developing a plan to help them succeed
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation and assignments.
- Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
- Providing students with positive and constructive feedback
- Offering feedback on progress to students\’ parents
