Job Summary:
Student will enter Grade 11 in September. Took grade 10 Math with an accelerated program. The course was quick and condensed and the student feels she didn’t fully grasp all of the concepts. She wants to review Grade 10 math and maybe work on Grade 11. Summer tutoring will be flexible. They’d like 2 times per week. 1.5 hour sessions. Tutoring can be at Pioneer Library in Delta or Iron Wood Library in Richmond.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing student’s needs and developing a plan to help them succeed
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation and assignments.
- Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
- Providing students with positive and constructive feedback
- Offering feedback on progress to students’ parents
